Original Gujarati Poem "કાંઈ ખોયું નથી" of the English translation "Nothing is lost" posted below by Dr. Ashok DB Vaidya

Translation of a poem by Sri Makarand Dave

Nothing is lost

Nothing is lost:
Brother, as yet you have
Not seen the inner cup
Full and overflowing

All your agony is only due to desires,
The occult divisive forces frighten you,
As yet you've not cleansed the
Glass window of your mind,
The door of perception
Nothing is lost

The earth swings cheerfully in the space,
And you, why feel the burden on your back?
As yet you have not planted the seed;
Of your being in the earth
Nothing is lost

The nature bountifully scatters her all
Even then her basket is never empty
Only that heart gets thwarted which
Has n’t poured love everywhere,
Nothing is lost.

Introduction

I was graced by Makarandbhai’s presence in 1996 when I was completely down on my knees, battered by the ongoing challenges presented by life. I still remember his calm and soothing presence, and his comforting words, that not only reaffirmed the purpose of my existence then but has been inspiring and guiding me since then on my spiritual journey despite various challenges that have kept emerging, which have rather, knowingly or unknowingly, continued to make me more stronger and insightful within.
There has been nothing out-of-the world, or miraculous, about my personal experiences with him but they were rather simple yet profound ones, woven with our usual way of life. None the less I could gather a glimpse of his amazingly multifaceted, extraordinary, and saintly personality through his works and learning from the experiences of some of his close associates whom I have come to know over the years.
As an expression of  our love for Makarandbhai, our  fellow beings, and  for the One Consciousness that eternally pervades everyone and everywhere, I would like to  encourage all of us to get connected and stay connected through these means by sharing our thoughts and experiences in our spiritual journey, including what Makarandbhai must have shared with us in person or communicated remotely over phone or through letters and e-mails.
